Fushicho Daiko
Phoenix Drummers perform both traditional and original Taiko songs with power, energy, skill and joy. Traditional instruments and colorful costumes add to the excitement. The combination of sound, movement, instruments and teamwork create a dynamic, spellbinding audience experience. A Matsuri favorite for 19 years! Performing both days.
All Arizona Taiko Team
A can’t miss show! 35-45 Taiko players made up of Taikoists from throughout the state. Huge, dynamic, loud and intense. Performing both days!
Phoenix Taiko Kai
A student group of Fushicho Daiko, PTK is an enthusiastic group of taiko players that love to perform for their audience.
Saboten Taiko
A student group of Fushicho Daiko, a dynamic and fun group made up of husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, ranging in ages 13-60+, sharing their joy with all.
Aozora
A student group of Fushicho Daiko, taiko enthusiasm makes for a great show. Members of Aozora combine their talents for a dynamic presentation.
Kemushi
Children’s taiko from the Fushicho Daiko Dojo/studio. These young ones will entertain and thrill you with their skill and joy.
Ken Koshio
A native Japanese singer and song writer, taiko player and Japanese folk artist, bringing his unique show to Matsuri.
Washington Elementary Taka Taiko Falcon Drummers
Students in grades 4-6 have joined Matsuri for several years. Students of Eileen Morgan.
Faith North Montessori Taiko & Senators Taiko
Children’s group from Faith North and music students in grades 4-6 from Kenilworth Elementary School. Students of Ken Koshio.
Michigan Hiryu Daiko
Lead by Esther Vandecar. Her brand new group from Kalamazoo makes it's debut at this year's Matsuri.
Odaiko Sonora
This dynamic group from Tucson returns to Matsuri this year.
